Which of these terrifying traveling tales is YOUR worst nightmare?

Sometimes, traveling can mean more tricks than treats.  Between planning your finances, making sure you don’t miss any fun activities, and navigating a new place, spooky situations are bound to arise. Which of these vacation nightmares have you experienced?

#1. WRONG TURN
You needed this solo road trip to clear your head, and it’s working so far.  You’re making great time—you’re practically the only one on the road!  But as the miles drag on, fellow travelers become few and far between.  Just as you glance down to see that your cell phone doesn’t have reception, an alarming realization sweeps over you: you’re lost.

#2. THE BIRDS
Not only have you escaped the chill of autumn with this beachside vacation, you scored the ONLY parking spot in the shade.   You hit the hay thinking, “I can’t believe I lucked out!”  The next morning, you stroll out to your car to see that your car has been…er…. “decorated” by the local wildlife.

#3. REST STOP: DEAD AHEAD
You’ve hit a rather desolate stretch of road, but you’re using the opportunity to enjoy the landmarks and scenery.  Suddenly, a shrill cry erupts from the backseat, “I need the bathroom!” immediately followed by a chorus of, “Are we there yet?” “I’m bored!” “I feel carsick!”  You sigh as you pass a sign that reads, “Next Service Station: 100 Miles.”

#4. THE FLY
You don't know how the little guy got in your car, but you know he's got to go.  Problem is, he darts away from every opportunity to escape!   How can such a tiny thing be so annoying?  Before you know it, your nerves are shot and your hair is disheveled from zipping down the highway with all four windows down.  Just as you close the windows and regain composure, you feel a familiar tickle on the back of your neck...

Don't let your next vacation turn into the stuff of nightmares!  Plan a service appointment with us ahead of time and we'll make sure you're ready to hit the road safely!

Can you tell if this car-related "fact" is actually true or not?

Here is the myth:  You should always let your car warm up before driving off.  What do you think-- myth or fact?  Highlight the text below to see the truth of the matter!

Here's the truth:  For yesteryear's cars, letting your vehicle warm up was always a good idea.  But the same does not necessarily hold true for today's cars and trucks.  Advances in technology and build materials allow modern engines to warm up more quickly--thus offering the best efficiency and fuel economy--when they're driven, all without sacrificing any durability.  That's not to say you should go pedal-to-the-metal right as soon as your engine turns over, but you should feel free to make the drive to work as you normally would!

Here are 3 great reasons to keep up with your vehicle's maintenance!

1. Reliability - your car will break down less and you can count on it to get you where you want to go.

2. Resell value - the better shape your car is in, the more money you will get back for it should you sell it in the future.

3. Performance - your car will perform better under stress and extreme temperatures if it's been well maintained.
